How to Submit
You must submit:
- Public GitHub repo (organized, README with setup)
- Demo video (1–3 minutes, Loom/YouTube) explaining the problem, architecture,
API usage, and impact - 200-word description (problem, track, stack, impact)
- Must use at least 3 You.com API endpoints (verifiable via logs)

- Note: One submission per team. Include team details, links, and contact email.

- Innovation & Originality: We’re looking for creative, bold ideas that showcase the unique power of You.com APIs.
- Technical Implementation: We’re looking for technically sound projects that are seamless, scalable, and secure.
- Impact & Relevance: We’re looking for solutions that solve meaningful challenges and deliver real value.
- User Experience : We’re looking for products that are intuitive, polished, and a delight to use.
- Presentation & Documentation: We’re looking for clear communication and strong supporting materials.

FAQs
Is it free?
Yes, absolutely! The hackathon is completely free to join, and we’ll even provide API credits to help you build and test your project.
Do I need qualifications?
Nope! Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just love working with APIs, you’re welcome to join. All you need is curiosity and creativity.
Can I join as a team?
Yes, you can! Teams can have up to 5 members. Just make sure to include all team members’ details on the submission form. If your team wins, the prize money will be split among the members.
What’s the demo video for?
A short video makes it easier for the judges to understand your project. It shows how your solution works and what makes it unique—all in just a few minutes.
When are winners announced?
Winners will be announced during the final event in the week of Nov 4, 2025.
Do I get a badge/certificate?
Yes! All participants will receive digital badges and certificates. These will be sent out the week following the winner announcement.
Do I need to use You.com APIs?
Yes, using You.com APIs is a core requirement. Your project must integrate at least three API endpoints.
Can I use other tools/models?
Any frameworks/models are fine. You.com APIs must remain core to your solution.
What if I don’t have a team?
No problem! You can participate solo or use our Discord #hackathon channel to find collaborators.
Will there be support?
Yes! We’ve got you covered. You’ll have access to:
- Office hours with our Product and Engineering teams (Oct 29)
- On-call support via Discord throughout the event
- A dedicated channel for hackathon participants to communicate
